So I mentioned in my last post that I finally got the American Apparel leggings that pretty much EVERYONE possesses. Here are some pictures of me wearing them...

I cut my own hair last week, so if you think it looks wonky, you know the reason! I just can't be bothered going to a salon...
Sunglasses - BP by Nordstrom
Shoes - Nine West
Mini-dress - Forever21
Cardigan - H&M
Leggings - American Apparel
Red belt - ?
I have to admit, I feel a bit like Sandy from Grease when they're on! Hahahah.

Fall Trend: Children's Fairytales and Stories
I know, I know, I'm pretty much the worst blogger in all of blogging history....I've started work, which is this art program where I'm going to learn to make furniture. Sounds cool, right? It's not! It's really time-consuming and my arms get quite tired because I'm carving wood for a couple of hours everyday.
Also, I bought some American Apparel lamé leggings from eBay and they arrived a few days ago. More about them in another post.
This post was inspired by something I saw in Harper's Bazaar (July 2008).

This is one of the times when fashion can blatantly tell a story. A lot of [unfashionable] people view clothes as something simply to be worn and, so, they go out in public and wear things like SWEATPANTS and PAJAMAS (ugh, I seriously hate people who do that).
These outfits channel different characters from stories and here are my interpretations:
Robert Cavalli - Cinderella (duh)
Jean Paul Gaultier - Little Red Riding Hood (duh)
Luella - witch from Hansel and Gretel
Alexander McQueen - Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland
Ralph Lauren - Cruella de Vil from 101 Dalmatians
I really like what's going in these looks because they remind me of my childhood fairytales. I'm starting to feel a bit old now that my 18th birthday (!) is soon approaching....

That punch of color
Because it is getting warmer and brighter everyday (except for the random thunderstorms), I am forced to adapt. I'm like a chameleon - I change with my surroundings! Sort of. Wouldn't it be cool to glow like the sun?
The other day, I found this little morsel when I was shopping. The color is really hard to capture on my old, crappy camera, but here you go.

T-shirt - H&M, $5.90
Pin-striped shorts - Zara
Socks - DSW
Fedora - Urban Outfitters
Shoes - Nine West
Sunglasses - Forever 21
It's only a t-shirt, but the color got to me INSTANTLY. It was love at first sight. Technically, it wasn't "first sight" because I had already seen the same exact shade of color in the 3.1 Phillip Lim S/S 08 runway show...

P.S. Go check out my sister's blog - she just did a mix and match outfits post starring moi! =)

New shoes, new dress
I couldn't resist buying a pair of my own :)
Even though everyone has the Balenciaga imitations from Nine West, I still think they're wonderfulllllll.
Another thing, I also got a new dress! Well, not really new per se, but my sister made it a while back for one of her classes and now it is mine >:]

Close-up of the front
The back
However, it is a bit scandalous since the sides dip reallllllly low, which means I can't wear a bra underneath. I'll also have to find an occasion to wear this to....
Sorry about the slow updates - I'm trying to cram as much time with my friends before they go on their vacations!

Where you'll sit to comtemplate your day
Irrelevant title. Just been listening to the Postal Service lately :)
Again, I haven't updated in over a week - sorry! I've been attending a lot of post-graduation parties and I haven't had the time to update or check blogs.
Here's what I wore to graduation - it was hidden underneath an icky gown. I purposely wore a skirt because it had pockets so I could bring my iPod to avoid listening to boring speeches and whatnot xD

Sunglasses - Urban Outfitters
Skirt - reconstructed from pants (made by my sister)
Shoes - Enzo Angiolini
Belt - thrifted
Blouse (actually a dress) - H&M

The End and Tag
Today was my last day of high school - HURRAH. University will definitely be something I look forward to >=]
Hopefully, I'll post more frequently from now on (I seriously get so lazy, heh)
Also, cottonshrinks has decided to tag me to do this questionnaire
1) What were you doing 10 years ago?
I believe I was in the 2nd grade. I got in trouble quite often so I would have to write lines - you know, the ones where you "promised" you wouldn't do such-and-such again. I was trying to perfect my methods of line-writing to minimize the time wasted being punished!
2) What are 5 things on your to-do list today?
Considering it's almost 1 AM, I don't really have anything to do for now so here are some general things that I would like to finish in the near future:
- watch the Sex and the City movie
- send my final transcript to my future university
- clean my room (HA! that one probably won't happen)
- graduate officially
- find out if I got the position for a summer job
3) Snacks you enjoy:
Anything chocolate! I love candy and ice cream. Pocky and green pea snow crisps (both are Japanese snacks) are also really good.
4) Places you have lived:
The United States
5) What are 5 things you would do if you were a billionaire?
- Travel for a few years
- buy a house and move to London/anywhere in England
- buy the Haagen-Dazs corporation
- shop to my heart's content
- buy stuff for my family and friends
6) People you want to know more about:
My favorite designers
And I'm tagging:
NOBODY. Tagging is stressful!

Humid
The contrasting weather conditions (heavy rain, then loads of sunshine) had made me indecisive about what to wear this morning. Despite my efforts to try to dress smart because of the rain, the air was humid throughout the day and my tights got super wet when it poured.
Urban Outfitters fedora
Madden Girl gladiators
H&M sunglasses
Black tights
Forever 21 V-neck babydoll
Forever 21 shorts (the buttons on the tabs fell off! grrr)
Thrifted little boys' double-breasted blazer
I took some pictures outside for once - the natural light looks a lot better than indoor lights, don't you think?

PROM
Prom was on May 23rd and here is what I wore:

In the end, I didn't wear a dress. My sister had made the dress too small (sounds better than admitting I was too fat lol). Fortunately, I had a Plan B, which was to wear a tuxedo. Any opinions? I felt like a total P-I-M-P! Haha
Tie and cummerbund - borrowed from a friend
Tuxedo shirt - local thrift store
blazer - H&M
pants - made by sister
shoes - Nine West
cane - Party City
